Welcome to the Moment
A documentary chronicling the 76ers’ 2017–2018 season and the franchise’s return to the playoffs. I produced and filmed across the season, then co-edited the story with Nick McKain while the outcome was still unfolding.
Practices, games, travel, locker-room access, and quieter human details became an evolving archive. Consistent camera language and arena sound gave that material one visual system; the edit then shaped it around the emotional arc of the season rather than a chronology of scores.
The film remains the clearest example of my long-form documentary work inside a fast-moving sports organization. It was nominated in the 2019 Mid-Atlantic Emmy Sports Feature / Segment category, where I was credited as Producer / Editor / Videographer.
